How to get the odor off of a wicker furniture?
If it has blackish mold on it and has a smell, then you have no choice but to throw it. That mildew is dangerous to your health as the spores get into your lungs and cause problems. Because wicker is a natural material, the mildew actually seeps right into the wicker and you can't get all of it out. Mildew loves moisture, so don't store stuff like that in a damp basement or garage.
If you really want to rescue it, wash in a solution of water, baking soda, and vinegar or ammonia. Then put it out in the direct sun to dry. Strong sunlight can act as a disinfectant.
